LMFS is now the Seminole Feeds dealer for this area (Tryon, Landrum, Columbus, etc) – we’ve worked with the Farmhouse on what they were carrying, ordering and we’ve gotten our first order in. We hope to have any kinks out of the ordering process after our second order, which will be in a few weeks.

Pennfield feeds has announced they will be doing a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion from August 17th to October 16th, 2009.
As always, there are a few rules…

For the Special Needs of Endurance and Event Horses
A majority of the energy in this feed comes from sources which provide long-term sustainable energy and prevent rapid changes in blood sugar. Highly digestible fiber provides a continuous source of energy and a fluid and electrolyte reservoir which the horse can utilize during exercise or performance. An excess of 10% dietary fat in the form of soybean oil provides increased energy density. This allows horses to maintain their weight while eating fewer pounds of feed. Vitamin and mineral fortification are at levels appropriate for performance horse. Vitamin E and selenium are provided at optimum levels.

For Horses Predisposed to RER or Grain Allergies
Fibregized is a blend of soluble fiber sources and soybean oil. This feed is a source of low starch, high fat, and extremely high fiber. Fibregized may be used for horses prone to conditions such as recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis(RER)i.e.”Tie-Up” and grain allergies. This formula has also served quite well as a no-grain, soft, senior feed.

Custom Grain mix discontinued
Due to the warmer weather, great grass (so far!) and slower sales of the Custom Grain Mix that we have custom made for us has been discontinued. Because it’s a custom mix, there is a 120 bag minimum and we can’t go through it fast enough to guarantee the quality. Therefore we have discontinued the ordering at this time. Thanks for understanding our desire to keep our feed quality top notch.
